Who is SOSCA Member Eva Peterson?

Job Title:  Clerk Typist III/Financial Assistant

Department/Division:  Special Education/Child and Family Services

How long have you been with KCSOS?  20 years

What is your favorite job duty?  I enjoy working with the wonderful staff in Special Education. You could not ask for a more wonderful group of people to share your work day with. Working together to achieve the same goal is very rewarding. I have two favorite job duties; auditing invoices, and talking with staff regarding various issues.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?  I enjoy going to church and teaching 7 to 12 year old children bible lessons.  I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren.  I like to be with my friends along with my school mates from the class of 1969.  The class of 1969 meet every two months, or so, to enjoy birthdays and other celebrations.  Gospel music is my favorite music along with smooth jazz.  My favorite movies are comedies.  I enjoy walking, meeting and talking with different people. I also like to travel.

What else would you like to share with us?  I enjoy working for Kern County Superintendent of Schools because I feel we help the staff achieve a common goal. We all work hard to make a difference in the lives of the families of Kern County. I also have met many new people since working with KCSOS. I will soon be entering my third chapter of life which is retirement. This chapter will begin after the first quarter of the school year 2013-14.
