Site Reps

Calling all SOSCA members! We are still in need of Site Representatives!

“What would I have to do?”   That’s the real question, right?

(Taken from Article VII of SOSCA’s By-laws)

The Site Representatives shall perform the following duties:

  • At least one representative should be appointed from each recognized Kern County Superintendent of Schools work site (or one from each floor at City Centre and Larry E. Reider Education Center).
  • Attend Board meetings designated as site rep meetings.
  • Bring any concerns of the employees to the President or Vice President who will take concerns to the Board.
  • Report any SOSCA activities to all employees at their locations.

A site representative’s obligation is to be an open line of communication between SOSCA and the sites they represent.  Even though they are not directly involved in negotiations or decision making, they act as a powerful tool to voice the concerns of SOSCA members.

If you are interested in becoming a site rep, please contact Leslie Lund at 636-4282 or at lelund@kern.org.
